Food in Advertisements

looks delicious until reality taints its charms

Food is my bane. I yield to all of my stomach’s demands no matter what the hour. It is by far my biggest weakness.

So when I see a seductive ad on the evil television flaunting a giant delicious-looking cheeseburger in my face, you better believe I’m out that door.

After wolfing down the meal, mere milliseconds after the high school dropout hands it to me through the drive-thru, I return to my dozed state and realize what I just did.

I never even took the time to look at my food before I ate it. It doesn’t really matter though because it’s delicious all the same. Though I still feel duped.

I mean it was that sexy looking tenderloin that got me off my lazy butt in the first place and I settled for little more than the commercial burger’s deformed cousin.

That’s not right. Oh wait we’re talking about the advertisement industry. One filled with lies and deception all to make millions off the unsuspecting public. Now I remember.

Guess it’s time to make my own food?

O golly I crack myself up 🙂
