I’m not going to spout on about looking back over this year or how this is a starting point for new beginnings or resolutions. That just doesn’t seem to matter anymore today.
What is important during the transition is taking a brief reflection at where you were exactly one year ago and deciding if you are any closer or further from where you want to be. If it is the former then that’s great but if it’s the latter than that is even better.
This is so because some of the hardest challenges in life are dealing with success. When everything is going right there is no way of predicting your next move. Anything can happen that might mess things up. When you are at the bottom of life is when everything can only get better. Some people have to be taken down to the darkest places to finally see the light and even then it always seems so far away.
The great part though is that we always have opportunities to make things better in our lives and a new year is a reminder of this. We can all use a fresh start. The time when we really turn things around for the better even when we think we have things good.
This is my 100th blog post and I could not be happier with all the support from friends, family, and some fans who have supported me along the way. 2012 is going to be an amazing year and I know this because…well the truth is I don’t honestly know why and nobody else does either. I just have an intuitive feel about these things. Scratch that, I’m just a sucker for optimism.
So here’s to 100 blog posts and a happy New Year. May there be many more to come.
