Last Resort Friends

Everyone has them.

It’s the same situation every time. You’re planning a night out with your buddies for the weekend. You wait patiently while the weekdays slowly tick by. Everyday makes you more and more anxious for the dastardly mischief that you can’t wait to cause. The day finally comes but your closest buds that you’ve created an unshakable bond with call off at the last second. What do you do? You look down the contacts list on your cell for your buddies that you don’t hang out with everyday but can still have a good time with. Uh oh they’re busy too! Sweat starts to roll down your neck, you frantically pound buttons as fast as your brain can tell your muscles to move. Fate seems to have closed its iron fist over your social life. But wait! You see a name on the bottom of the list. It looks familiar, you’ve hung out with this person before. Every blue moon he’s out and about lurking in the shadows waiting for a visitor to finally come for aid. It’s the last resort friend and you’re so happy you have him. Although you might be stuck at the bowling alley instead of pool hopping or shooting fireworks at each other you are still with a friend and you will still have a good time. This is a love letter for our unsung heroes: The Last Resort Friends.
